A Black Magic Rose! April 7, 2010

Filed under: Flower Power — Geri Kosberg @ 11:20 pm

I am so excited about this week. I got all my flowers in for my two weddings this saturday and I got my staff ready to work hard for the special couple. It will be a very busy week.
How many of you have heard of the Black Magic Rose?  It is not a very common rose but it’s my all time favorite and it’s beautiful. Why do I love Black Magic? I love the texture of it and the color. When you look at a black magic, the color is so intensely dark that it could have black undertones sometimes. The petals are velvety smoot and has a shade of black and burgundy. It has a sweet smell too. Another reason I love black magic is because when the rose buds open, they become huge.  When most roses bloom, they still remain thin and skinny.  These bloom big!  See my photo below.   Hope all of you will appreciate the beauty of it as much as I do.
So here’s the theme that I’m trying to get out of my mind.  All roses are not the same.  As a matter of fact, there are over 150 species of roses in the world.  How do you choose just one?  Well, first off, choose us as your designer and we will help you narrow it down to the perfect one.  A good designer will not just order red or green.  They will show you options of colors, blooms, style and texture.  (How’s that for a sales pitch?)  So next time you look at a simple rose, remember the Black Magic.  Don’t just settle for the rose in the supermarket.  Go for the gold.  Find a rose you like.  Give it to someone special and tell them why you choose it.  Guaranteed, you’ll be a hit!
